The best way to ensure that personal files remain personal is to encrypt them. That is something you can do with GoCrypt. The safest way to share or send files to others is to encrypt them first. GoCrypt is available as an application for Windows-powered computers. To get started with GoCrypt on a Windows PC you must install the application, register for an account, validate the account, and then log into the newly created account.
GoCrypt is also available as an app for Android-powered mobile devices.

While GoCrypt is running , you will see an icon in the system tray. Right click this icon to be presented with a menu that allows you to log out, access the settings menu, or exit the application. Speaking about the right click, it must be mentioned that GoCrypt integrates with Windows Explorer - a GoCrypt entry is listed in the right click context menu; said entry lists the following: encrypt, encrypt and share, encrypt and send, encrypt and move to Dropbox, encrypt and move to GDrive.

GoCrypt is available as a Basic, Pro, and Enterprise Edition. The Basic Edition, which is free, has the following functionality to offer: encrypt files using a strong encryption algorithm; encrypt files and move to Dropbox; share decryption keys; invite new users; GoCrypt server key. GoCrypt Basic is not meant for commercial use.
